If You Want to Feel Smart, Read Comments on Youtube Videos

Here's a video compilation that I put together a few years ago. It's not much in and of itself. I took some racist portions of cartoons I bought cheaply en masse from Walmart and tried to string them into a (very) loose narrative of their own. Then I added a song about the jungle at the end. I didn't have an agenda. Maybe part of me wanted to make something offensive, part of me wanted to make people question PC dogma with really funny cartoons, and part of me wanted to shock people with the fact that Walmart carried this kind of stuff.

The video itself is nothing special:

However, the comments are amazing. So much hatred, racism, patronization, and/or outright stupidity. For example:

"Let me guess - these weren't thought of as even remotely 'racist' before January 20 2009. Right? Can't offend the Boogie-in Chief, now can we?" --USAon3

"Lighten up people. It's called DIVERSITY. Do you think everyone is the same? Would you like to live under Sharia law? Would you like to live in Africa? People are different, and understand it for what it is, even if you don't agree with it." --33Donner77

"WTF BLACK ? YOU MEAN NIGGERS!" --ANALSHITTYBAI

Every now and then someone will comment on the truly excellent music in the clip, or make a joke. I think these are the only reasonable comments out of hundreds. I really like this one, for instance, but only because I assume it's sarcastic:

"So white people are too stupid to get away from canibals [sic] even though we have a gun to shoot things, then fall in love with cows? I'm pretty offended." --Emmygurl523

So, based on the large amount of absurd comments my video received, I started reading other comments on Youtube videos.

Here's a good one made about a Katy Perry's California Gurls video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CTVJTt-Gfx8&feature=fvhl):

"u give me a better song and will stop listening to this fed of my music and this song kinda catchy dude" --thericodino

Here's a comment the meaning of which I can't comprehend. It's for a video about evolution, but is it for evolution? Against?:

"It is difficult to reason with people who believe egoistically. Impossible it is with egotism that believes in effect, They are the Laws of God unto themselves.

Fascinating, it is the crude direction that such devolved comments tend to take on their own. Those ascended from the apes speak for themselves" --Howardz43

Here's a very eloquent anti-cop speech from a video about a cop shooting a suspect:

"now thats resisting aresst all that bullshit that cops be doing shooting at innocent unarmed people payback is a bitch at least he gets to go home to his family does the name sean bell the kid from oakland mean any thing" --vee85

I'm not the brightest apple in the barrel, but Youtube makes me feel like a friggin genius.

Purpose of this blog

This will be my space for drunken rants. Perhaps it will involve into more in the future. Probably not. Drunken rants are about all I'm good for.

On occasion, though, I might post a picture of an attractive lady or a picture I drew.

Excellent. Now I'm off to class, where I will learn how I've been cheating on my taxes my whole life, but it doesn't really matter because I've always been too poor to pay taxes anyway.

The most impressive thing I've ever done is create the Christian Side Hug Wikipedia article. They tried to delete it, but I fought them and won. Your welcome.
